Abbot and Guiding Teacher:

Myo Gak Kun Sunim

Myogak Kun Sunim has been a practicing Buddhist since 1988.

Currently residing in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kun Sunim travels regularly to several different areas of the US to lead retreats for the Great Cloud sangha.

Along with being our Abbot and Guiding Teacher, Kun Sunim is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology, and the founder and president of the Prajna Institute for Buddhist Studies.

Kun Sunim is an ordained Bodhisattva Priest and transmitted teacher in the Imje (Chinese: Lin-chi / Japanese: Rinzai) lineage of Korean Zen, receiving in 2011 the “final seal” of In’ga (recognition as a Dharma successor).
